I’ve always written songs but I am clearly not a musician. When I decided to make this record, it made perfect sense to ask (exploit) the many talented friends I have.
The downside was the project became more of a managerial challenge than a musical one. I played what I could (or what Steve would allow) and asked my musician friends to sing/perform/produce the rest.
Some were given strict orders, some just a simple direction, some were paid, and for some I’m forever in debt. Truthfully this album is a group effort and not a solo project,
but since I paid for all of it, I’m putting my name on the spine.
